Jared is a physicist-in-training. Originally from Texas, Jared graduated from Southern Methodist University in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Physics with Distinction and a Bachelor of Science in Pure Mathematics and with a Minor in Chinese.

Jared has conducted research in high energy particle physics with the ATLAS Experiment at the LHC at CERN and with the proposed EIC at BNL. Jared is interested in machine learning and data science applications to jet physics and flavor-tagging at high energy physics collider experiments.

In addition to his interests in high energy physics research, Jared is also interested in science and technology public policy. Jared received a Schwarzman Scholarship for the 2021-2022 academic year to pursue a Master of Management Science in Global Affairs at Schwarzman College at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. While there, he will explore the role of research scientists in science and technology public policy and communication.
